Community To Gather for Bazaar at Mackinac Island This Week

One lucky person will take home a new snowmobile, while eight others will be awarded cash prizes up to $1,500 in three major raffles during this year’s Mackinac Island Christmas Bazaar. The event takes place from Saturday, December 3, to Monday, December 5, at the Community Hall on Mackinac Island.

The snowmobile raffle includes a first prize of a 2005 Ski-Doo, which is being donated by Island businesses. A second prize is $500 and third prize is $100. The snowmobile raffle is $2 per ticket.

The Christmas raffle awards a $1,500 first prize and four $500 prizes. Tickets are $25 each.

A 50/50 raffle will be held. Each booth and the kitchen will also have raffles.

The bazaar features an auction, shopping, and food.

The bazaar opens at 11 a.m. each day and ends at 6 p.m., except Monday, when it concludes at 3 p.m. when the winning raffle tickets are drawn.

The annual Christmas bazaar benefits the Mackinac Island Medical Center, Little Stone Church, Ste. Anne’s Church, Trinity Church, and the Mackinac Island Bible Church.

Arnold Transit modifies Sunday’s boat schedule for Island Christmas bazaar visitors. The Sunday 4:30 p.m. boat departure traveling from Mackinac Island to St. Ignace will be held until 5 p.m. to accommodate those attending the Mackinac Island Christmas bazaar.
