Clarissa Goad

Clarissa Goad Clarissa Goad Clarissa Goad, 74, of Birmingham, passed away Monday, August 20, 2007, in her home. She was a summer resident of the Les Cheneaux Islands.

She was a graduate of Baldwin High School, and in 1955, she was graduated from the University of Illinois.

Mrs. Goad owned Miniature Makers in Royal Oak. She was a member and president of the Village Women's Club, president of Birmingham Junior League, and a member of the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Association. She also was president of the International Guild Miniature Artisans.

She was the "Horse Show mom," friends said, and she loved the classic car club. She was named the 2006 Woman of the Year for the Michigan Region Classic Car Club.

Mrs. Goad is survived by her husband, Thomas Goad; her children and their families, Douglass Goad, Linda Larisch, and Theodore and Jennifer Goad, and six grandchildren, Taylor Goad, Andres Larisch, Brandon Goad, Jacqueline Larisch, Sadie Goad, and Nicholas Larisch.

The family received friends at A.J. Desmond and Sons Vasu, Rodgers, and Connell Chapel in Royal Oak Thursday, August 23.

Services were held Friday, August 24, at Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills.
