The Rudyard School Public Library’s annual quiet auction and Christmas tree contest was a huge success and they’re already making plans for next year. Jan Besteman purchased all of the trees to begin the event. The Rudyard Public Library made $1,775. The "Friends of the Library" group has worked nonstop since October with various fundraisers and they have donated or purchased items for the project. They were able to purchase a new copy machine for the library, and continue to buy bestsellers for all to enjoy.

The Christmas tree decorating contest was a hit. Penny votes were used to determine the top three favorites. First prize went to Margaret LaPonsie, second prize to Amanda L. Ross, and third prize to Kathy Treml, who had help from her daughter, Rose.

Patrons visiting the library are welcome to check out the book sale room and browse through the hundreds of used books.
