With all the tragedies happening in the world, we are blessed to live in our little corner of the peninsula.

The weather continues to give us much enjoyed sunshine and blue skies. The temperatures are reflective of the fall, and outside work and fall cleanup continues.

Congratulations to Mikayla Vallier and Fred Gribbell, who were married Saturday, October 7. Congratulations also to Kelsie Soder and Trent Richards, who were married the same day.

Hello to Tim Stephenson, who is here from Tennessee spending a few days with his mother, Mary Ellen Stephenson.

John and Louella Snow traveled to the great state of Virginia to do some household chores and help with appointments for their friend, Noreen, who has been ill.

Brad Butkovich, along with Andy and Dave Livermore, laid down a few trees and helped stock the woodshed for Art and Peg Butkovich while Art and Peg were downstate.

Friday, October 13, will see the Engadine Eagles hosting the Friday night lights football game as well as homecoming festivities.

Dave and Linda Livermore enjoyed a few days with their son, Dave, and family in Groton, Connecticut, enjoying the fall colors coming and going.

Continued get-well wishes to Kelly Roth, Bob Hartwig, Doris Haapala, and to the many folks in the area who are dealing with ongoing health issues.

Condolences to Wanda De- Menter of Naubinway on the recent passing of her brother, Ron Ketcham of Gladstone.

Condolences also to Marilyn McArthur on the passing of her brother, Jack Holt of Sault Ste. Marie.
